Budget Meeting Tonight

The Town Council continues its hearings with various departments who will justify their budget requests for 2010-2011.

Among the departements presenting tonight:

1. Local Emergency Planning Commission
2. Commission for the Handicapped
3 Comission on Aging, Social Services
4. Library
5. Fire Marshal
6. Building Dept.
7. Inland / Wetlands
8. Farmingbury Hills

Public comment is permitted at the beginning and end of the meeting.

The meeting will be shown live on Comcast Channel 96 beginning at 7:30 pm

Town Council Begins Tackling Budget

The Town Council will have what looks to be a legnthy meeting tonight at 730

Resolutions including Fair Housing and grants to work on projects at Hitchcock and Cedar Lakes will begin the agenda, followed by the Mayor’s Budget Presentation.

After the overall budget presentation, the Police and Fire Departments will present their budgets. The Sewer and Water Commission will also review their revenue and expenses.

The meetin will be live on Comcast Channel 96. This is an open meeting and the public may attend at Town Hall.

Upcoming weeks will include presentations by other departments in town.
